Currently building open-source agentic AI tools

Hi there, I’m

Christian Britton

Software Engineer II at Charter Communications · Georgia, USA

My mission is simple: build secure, dependable software that makes people’s work easier, and help the engineers around me grow along the way.

About Me

My path into software started in 2014 as a student intern at Barrow County Schools, imaging laptops and chasing down network gremlins. More than a decade later, I’m a software engineer at Charter Communications (Cox Communications until the two companies merged in 2026), where I’ve led a platform migration to Google Cloud, helped build an internal LLM platform for our Sales teams, and cut our incident resolution time by two-thirds.

Along the way I earned my B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Georgia. I still care about the same thing I did on day one: technology should just work for the people who depend on it. These days I’m most excited about agentic AI. I build open-source tools in my spare time, and I put a lot of energy into mentoring other engineers and helping them grow.

  • 10+ years in tech, from help desk to cloud platforms
  • 50% faster response times after our GCP migration
  • 66% lower MTTR after rolling out New Relic
  • 98% of security vulnerabilities remediated

What I care about

  • Secure by default

Security isn’t a last-minute checklist. I build it into the pipeline so the safe path is also the easy one.

  • Built to last

I like boring deploys, clear observability, and code that the next person can pick up without a tour guide.

  • Lift others up

The best part of my week is helping a teammate get unstuck. Strong teams beat solo heroics every time.

Things I’m Building

Side projects where I get to explore ideas and give a little back to the open-source community.

Where I’ve Worked

Charter Communications

Software Engineer II Aug 2026 – Present Atlanta, GA

  • Joined Charter in August 2026 when Cox Communications and Charter Communications merged, continuing to build and run the same cloud, CI/CD, and AI platforms as part of the combined company.

Cox Communications Inc.

Software Engineer II Jul 2021 – Aug 2026 Atlanta, GA

  • Cloud transformation: Led the end-to-end migration of a mission-critical PaaS ecosystem from legacy Rancher to Google Cloud (GCP/Anthos), improving system response times by 50% and giving us a foundation that scales.
  • Architecture & code quality: Architected a multi-tier Knowledge Management platform in Python and modern JavaScript, and standardized on clean MVC patterns that reduced legacy technical debt by 25%.
  • AI/ML innovation: Co-architected an internal enterprise LLM platform for Sales operations, integrating graph database modules and ML pipelines that turn complex agent data into predictive insights for leadership.
  • CI/CD & delivery: Designed automated Jenkins pipelines that deliver zero-downtime rollouts across Dev, QA, and Production clusters on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Observability & security: Rolled out New Relic and cut mean time to resolution by 66%. Hardened our platforms with Prisma Cloud, remediating 98% of vulnerabilities and automating CVE patching.
  • Governance & mentorship: Represented my team at weekly Change Advisory Board meetings, mentored junior engineers, and was an active leader in the Python@Cox community.

Barrow County School System

Technical Analyst Sep 2018 – Jul 2021 Winder, GA

  • Engineered and scaled district-wide network architecture, including core switching, wireless, and VoIP.
  • Led deployment and administration of instructional technology like virtual reality (VR) labs and digital broadcast studios.
  • Managed identity provisioning and access controls across Google Workspace and Office 365, maintaining 99.9% uptime.
  • Provided tier-1/tier-2 hardware and network troubleshooting to keep classrooms and offices running smoothly.
  • Received eight consecutive “Shining Moments” awards for innovation, reliability, and collaborative problem-solving.

Barrow County School System

ITS Intern / Student Intern Aug 2014 – Sep 2018 Winder, GA

  • Where it all started. Deployed thousands of Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS devices using AirWatch MDM and the Chrome Management Console.
  • Partnered with networking and academic teams to roll out multimedia streaming platforms for classrooms.
  • Troubleshot hardware and network issues across school facilities and learned how much good IT matters to the people who rely on it.
